It was a fall-themed affair. Although the bridesmaids, bride, and their parents were in attendance, the party was really for the groom, his groomsmen, and their buddies.
So, it was a man party and it needed man food.
The Ranch Fountain Was Born
As I brainstormed the menu for this engagement party, I wondered if there was something more manly than a chocolate fondue fountain. From this question, the ranch fountain came into existence!
What’s more masculine than a ranch fountain with hot wings and Nashville Hot Chicken to dip into it?
There’s nothing I love more about my job than finding creative ways to use common catering tools. It’s so fun to use my talents to personalize the catering menu for any party to the people and personalities that will be in the room.
I even drew inspiration from the November 2022 issue of Southern Living Magazine and served pimento cheese balls with pretzels and pickled okra wrapped in country ham.
A Fall Drink for Drinkers and Non-Drinkers
To compliment the couple’s open bar, I prepared a warm, mulled hot spice tea. It’s an excellent mixer for cocktails during colder months, but this drink can also punch up and stand on its own too.
